Last night I saw Jimmy. Eat. World.
Oh my wow. Not many bands can play for 100minutes and consistently play hit after hit, and then play new stuff that still sounds amazing. And one thing I love, is that they play ALL their hits… I saw them at reading a few years ago and was blown away by how strong they are live, how tight, funny, charming… just excellent…
Anyways a few weeks ago there was a thing on twitter about tweeting your 16 yr old self… at the time I couldn’t think of something funny or clever to write. but now, especially after last night I cant help but feel that i’d tell 16yr old me to listen to this song, this album, this band and to take in the lyrics.
And so whilst I can’t do that, I can tell you too… so listen to it, and next time you’re feeling lonely/outofplace/or just a little down, listen to it… and smile… cos you’re awesome
