Went over this last night! its about 75m off the ground, and quite a popular (if you can call it that) suicide hotspot…
what was more scary was possibly the walk up there, (whilst I rode my bike, the road up was major steep and so I had to walk, cos Im weak init…) anyway, once id gotten up to the top of clifton, I hoped back on the ol’ fixie and cycled over the clifton suspension bridge!
I then cycled back towards town, getting hopelessly lost as always, i’ve only lived in bristol for about ten days and four of those where spent in London, so my evenings this week are dedicated to exploring a little! I headed down towards the floating harbour, and took a little detour on the way to explore the harbour and millennium square too, I then found Hooters!! (major score!) though I had no cash, and no friends to share the experience with (I know! cry for me!)
Anwyays, that general area really blew me away last night, and I cant wait to spend more time hanging out in the city! to be honest, it reminds me of Chicago, which is really nice, because I love that city, and no other uk city has really given me that feeling before… which is nice…
its not all awesomeness though, bristol is very pretty, but there are three things that piss me off about it:
1. cobbles. cobbles are pretty but fuck off are they horrible to ride over!
2. car drivers. just leave it, pricks. I signal, I’m careful.
3. hills. bristol is nice, but i dont really enjoy cycling up, or down those bloody hills!!!
